On Thursday, Instagram unveiled a new hub designed to assist users who have had their accounts compromised or are having other access problems.
The new page, instagram.com/hacked, was created to assist users with a variety of account access problems, such as getting back into a disabled account, managing lost passwords, and dealing with two-factor authentication. In addition, the social media behemoth is launching a new tool that it had been testing earlier this year: two of your Instagram pals will now be able to confirm your identity so you may regain access to your account if it has been disabled.

Instagram also disclosed that it is working on additional ways to stop accounts from getting hacked or disabled in the first place, such as by removing accounts that its automated systems deem to be malicious and by sending notifications when an account that the service suspects may be impersonating someone requests to follow you.
