Movie Tickets $3 This Saturday: How to Snag the National Cinema Day Deal


The greatest day to see a new movie in theatres maybehonor Saturday, September 3. There will be a $3 discount on movie tickets in honour of National Cinema Day. According to a statement from The Cinema Foundation, a nonprofit organisation affiliated with the National Association of Theater Owners, the discount will be offered in more than 3,000 locations.

As a result of movies like Top Gun: Maverick, Minions: Rise of Gru, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Jurassic World Dominion, this summer saw record-breaking movie attendance.

Jackie Brenneman, president of the Cinema Foundation, said, “After this summer’s record-breaking return to theatres, we wanted to do something to commemorate moviegoing.” We’re doing it by saying “thank you” to the moviegoers who helped make this summer possible and by providing an added incentive for those who haven’t yet returned.

As MoviePass prepares to relaunch its credit-based movie theatre subscription service on Labor Day, National Cinema Day and its $3 movie tickets will be available. Here’s where you look to see which theatres will be offering cheap tickets for movies on September 3.

Among the many cinemas taking part in the one-day event are major brands like AMC and Regal Cinemas. At those participating sites, there will be a discount on tickets for every performance in every format.

How to find out if your nearest theater will have $3 tickets

On the National Cinema Day website, you may find out which theatres nearby give out discounts. Once there, scroll to the “Find Cinemas” section at the bottom of the page and enter your city or zip code. If a theatre is available in your area, it should appear as an option when you click on your town.

Keep in mind that the $3 pricing does not include taxes or other costs.
