Over the past 20 years, CNET journalists have tested, retested, dropped, and even stayed up all night to evaluate new products and services that claim to revolutionize our lives and the way we conduct business.
Our panel of experts selected 82 goods and services in seven categories for 2022 that, in our view, are deserving of acclaim and, more importantly, a CNET Editors’ Choice Award.
We continue to rely on technology to ensure that we are communicating and collaborating as quickly and effectively as possible, from the smartphones, laptops, and tablets we use every day to stay in touch to the routers, monitors, and other nuts and bolts equipment that makes our digital ecosystems work.
Because many of you are traveling again, we also did extensive research to find the top televisions, Bluetooth speakers, kitchen appliances, robot vacuums, software, and internet services, including VPNs to safeguard your data privacy and language apps.
Our selections for the CNET Editors’ Choice Awards are the culmination of all that labor, and we’re celebrating them this year with a new badge that we’ll use to recognize those standouts in our reviews, top lists, product comparisons, and other stories throughout our site.

Additionally, we offer thorough how-to manuals, reasons, and recommendations to assist with these choices. In 2022, improving current products over developing whole new markets was the main goal of innovation.
However, we were thrilled to identify four products that, in our opinion, went above and above and merited a special CNET award: our Innovation Award, which honors goods that employ technology to provide novel, innovative ideas to consumers.
