Sling has changed the name of its free streaming service, which offers optional upgrades and more than 210 free channels.
Sling revamped and rebranded its Free TV streaming service as Sling Freestream.
In addition to 41,000 on-demand titles, Freestream offers over 210 ad-supported channels (up from 150) and marks the service’s eighth anniversary. The app features local news from ABC News Live and CBS News and global news from Noticias Univision 24/7 and Al Jazeera.
Hell’s Kitchen, Anthony Bourdain’s A Cook’s Tour, and the well-known YouTube compilation FailArmy are just a few TV shows accessible through the service. Additionally, you can choose add-ons like AMC Plus, Discovery Plus, or Showtime.
Comcast, LG, Samsung, Vizio, and Xbox devices will all be able to access Freestream in addition to the current Sling app for Roku.
Sling TV has offered a free service for a while, but with this rebranding, it will now compete with other free services like Amazon FreeVee and Tubi.
