Best World’s First 80Gbps Transmission Bandwidth Cable Launched

Tech businesses are focusing on accelerating information transfer speed as well as improving the productivity of various digital gadgets. The latest 5G and WiFi 6E technologies offer exceptional transmission speed when discussing wireless technologies. How about wired technology, though? Today, BizLink announced the world’s first VESA-certified BizLink DP80 upgraded full-size DP cable with 80Gbps transmission capacity, according to TechPowerUp.

According to the official website, BizLink’s DP80 cable is approved for use with the most recent DP technology and has a maximum data capacity of 80 Gbps. It also works with the updated data speeds per channel of the UHBR10 (10 Gbps), UHBR13.5 (13.5 Gbps), and UHBR20 standards (20 Gbps).

VESA previously said that cables for the DP40 and DP80 standards that enable full-size DisplayPort and Mini DisplayPort are already in production. Additionally, certification testing for the initial monitors and other devices was successful.

  • The UHBR10 standard (10Gbps) will be supported on four lanes of the DP40 cable for a total of 40Gbps.
  • The UHBR20 standard (20Gbps) will be supported on four lanes of the DP80 cable for a total of 80Gbps.

The DP 2.0 interface will be supported by the newest generation of graphics cards. Although the entry-level Lanji Ruixuan A380 graphics card from Intel comes with a DP 2.0 interface, its bandwidth is just 40Gbps. No display manufacturer has yet declared the release of products utilising the DP2.0 interface.

As you can see, this cable will enable the displays to receive more information per second, thus improving viewing quality. Both higher-resolution video material and games require it. If 4K is now popular but not widely used, 8K will soon overtake it as the standard resolution for a variety of internet video content.
